A note from the Managing Director of The Barbeque Company

There is an old belief in most Indian households — that a meal shared is a memory made. Long before restaurants and reservations existed, families gathered around a fire, waited for the smoke to settle, and ate together without hurry. That instinct never really left us. It just found a new address.

When we started The Barbeque Company, we weren't chasing a trend. Buffets were already everywhere, and grills were nothing new. What was missing, we felt, was a place that treated a meal the way it deserves to be treated — unhurried, generous, and a little bit theatrical. Not fine dining that intimidates, and not fast food that rushes you out the door, but something in between: a table where you can sit back, watch your food being grilled in front of you, and simply be present.

That philosophy still runs through everything we do. Every outlet of The Barbeque Company, whether in Gurugram, Noida, Patna, Guwahati, or the many cities we now call home, is built around one simple idea — hospitality should feel personal, even when it's served to hundreds of guests a day. Our live grill counters aren't just a feature on the menu; they're a small ritual we've designed so that every guest, from a college student out with friends to a family celebrating a birthday, gets to watch their meal come alive rather than just have it arrive.

We often get asked what makes a good BBQ buffet restaurant. Our answer is rarely about the number of dishes on the counter. It's about consistency — the paneer tikka tasting the same in Darbhanga as it does in Delhi. It's about staff who remember that a "quiet corner table" request matters as much as the food itself. And it's about designing spaces, across every one of our restaurant and bar locations, that feel less like a transaction and more like an invitation.

Growth, for us, has never been the goal by itself. It has been a by-product of getting the fundamentals right — fresh ingredients, honest recipes, and people who care. That is also why we've opened our doors to franchise partners who share this belief, because a philosophy is only as strong as the number of people willing to live by it.

As we continue to grow across India, our promise remains unchanged: The Barbeque Company will always be a place you come to unwind, not just to eat. The grills will keep smoking, the tables will keep filling, and somewhere in that smoke and conversation, another memory will quietly be made. That, to us, has always been the real business we are in.
